    The house was very quirky, an artists retreat. Pictures and photos covered the wall and the floors were covered with colorful rugs. The accomodation was very welcoming and michaela and her partner could not do enough. We shared a meal with them and two of their friends. We could not speak Italian or them English, but we managed to understand each other.The surrounding countryside was unique- the alps as the backdrop and the small Italian chalets with the large vege gardens surrounding them...very unique. Were offered home preserves to try..
    Found Alia bastilla very hard to find. Our Tom Tom took us around in circles. House is set amongst a small stone villa...many small houses and narrow tracks. ..very isolated..closest town was Susa which wqs about 15 klms away.
    Polished cement floors were very slippery. The mat slipped under my feet and I fell on to the floor, my partner did the same an hour later. Another guests child also slipped....need to do something about that as it is quite dangerous....no air-conditioning which was ok - but suggest having the option of fans...
