    The VERY fiendly hotess, Marika. She prepared a Tramisu for us one day and an apple strudle the next day, all free. Marika could not have been more helpful in giving advice on where to eat, transport etc. The room was beautifully decorated and very large; a large siting room ,a fully equipped kitchen, bedroom and a bathroom. The location is right in the old city so yoyu are in the heart of the REAL old Palernmo. 11 out of 10.

    Casa Marika was even better than we expected. Marika is a charming and generous hostess who stocked the pantry and refrigerator and gave us great advice about places to visit, buy groceries, and dine. We loved the spacious rooms and abundant light. It is a terrific location for seeing Palermo and using all public transportation. There was a tourist kiosk in the piazza at La Martorana Church that provided an excellent city map and the staff spoke English. The several open-air markets were incredible, especially the fish vendors. Don't miss Monreale Cathedral!
    We were pleased with every aspect of the apartment and enjoyed Palermo enormously. Yes, there is a lot of trash on the streets, but the people were so friendly and helpful and the sights were fantastic. Visitors should try to imagine Palermo as it was 150 years ago when its churches were open and there had been no pollution or WWII bombs to darken or damage the many beautiful buildings.

    Marika was very nice - she picked us up from the station. I do dread to think what I would have thought if I had walked to the location from the station - I think I would a) have got lost and b) been frightened by its location, especially late at night. The apartment itself was absolutely lovely and cheerful with lovely materials and colours.
    I booked Bed and Breakfast, but when we got there we had an apartment and Marika had left some food for us to make our own breakfast. The breakfast was unsatisfactory to any British traveller - there was no fresh bread or milk - only packet biscuits etc and some delicious home made tiramisu - but not the kind of thing we would eat for breakfast. This was the only B and B we had booked and were disappointed not to get breakfast served to us. The bed was not very comfortable and no light on my side of the bed.

    My wife and I loved the flat. Great location in the centre of the old town, tastefully decorated and furnished and spotlessly clean. Nice touches like the waiting tiramisu and homemade gellatto and milk and coffee. Would recommend to all.

    Everything was excellent, the flat, the locatión inner the center town and marika ice cream and tiramisú. Really recomended.

    we were satisfied with all the amenities, we had a washing machine, all cooking facilities and it made life a lot easier, the apartment was very cosy and comfortable. casa marika was very close to everything and was quite easy to navigate around town from. marika was wonderful and very, very helpful!
    the neighbours were noisy at 7:30am, the church bells didnt wake me up but the woman wailing next door did. come prepared with earplugs. but overall this place is great and well worth it.

    Very good located in the center. Near to main station, too. But absolutely silent. Carmela is a very kind and helpful person. She also cooks excellent sweets! The flat offers a lot of space. All looks homely in a personal way.
