   Our stay at Il Casello was perfection. The home is beautifully kept, and our room was spacious and grand with proper linens and lovely furniture. We had a large room a queen (?) sized bed, and then some spiral stairs led up to a loft with 2 single beds where the girls stayed. The pictures and descriptions are very accurate from the site. The villa is next to a main road (the only road) but I didn't find that a problem at all. It was very quiet, and then also the added convenience of the bus stop being only 100 meters away. The views from the terrace are amazing - it is Tuscany personified. The pool (a little early in the season) and the gardens are beautiful. Breakfast was a very nice spread and each morning our table was set and prepared for us with our room name on it. I also like that they had a coffee/espresso machine available 24/7. Also, a great vineyard right next door - a 5 minute walk - provides wine tasting and some of the best organically grown Chianti in the region! The hostess, Julia, made our stay comfortable and stress-free. She is apparently fluent in several languages, including English, which helps a lot! She provided a list of the bus schedule and the best restaurants. She also suggested a few additional sightseeing options as we headed out to Siena. And she gives great driving directions. She is lovely and very helpful. While we were too early in the season to request dinner on the terrace from Il Casello, they accommodated us when we brought food back to the villa for our own light fare on the terrace. Very wonderful place. I hope to return with all of my family someday and highly recommend these accommodations.

   Definitely need a car or the patience to travel via bus. Alas, we knew this as we chose Il Casello for its central location in Chianti that would allow us to take day trips to Siena, Florence and many places in between.

   The rooms appear to be newly remodeled, very clean and comfortable. The place is lovely, has great view, beautiful grounds and it's great to have a swimming pool on the property.

   A very poor breakfast. the coffee was terrible, made from an "at home" dispenser that wasn't a good quality or didn't perform well in an "inn" setting. Poor selection of fruit, etc.
   
   The inn keepers aren't the friendliest to say the least. I don't think they like people much, which really places them in the wrong profession! For this reason, I will definitely stay elsewhere on my next visit to Tuscany.

   Comfortable rooms, nicely decorated, wonderful pool, good breakfast, great staff.

   Close to road from Greve to Panzano, creating road noise during the day. At night, rooms are well sound-proofed, so not a problem sleeping.
